A Little Bit About Us
Monterey Firefighters have been serving the citizens and visitors of Monterey since 1884, when the volunteers first formed up to provide protection from fire. In the past ten years, our association has doubled in size, providing service to not only Monterey, but also Pacific Grove, Carmel, and Monterey Peninsula Airport. L3707 has over 70 members providing on duty service out of 6 stations, and a host of community events off duty. These community events include: Movie in the Park, AT&T Pro Am Courtesy Car shuttle service, Burn Foundation support, Carmel Fashion Show, support to MY Museum, and much more! We also own and maintain a fire engine for parades and general show and tell at our various events. We take pride in our community involvement and rarely shy away from an opportunity to participate in an event. Our members provide true ‘all-risk’ service through a variety of specialty training and skills including: tractor drawn aerial truck, fire suppression boat, aircraft crash rescue engine, and advanced life support paramedic service. Our members are often found taking classes on their own time around the United States to hone in on these specialty skills, and take pride in their ability to provide excellent customer service.
We sell T-shirts out of our downtown Fire Station 11 on Pacific Street. Feel free to stop by for a visit or to say hi, or stay tuned to this website for updates on upcoming community events.
